Rex Bumblesworth cross stitch, 100% original

This is my first ever 100% original cross stitch. My husband loves to draw, and we turned his sketch of a cute bee into a pattern. I am selling the pattern in my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/starrley
It's not the greatest photo, but I'm going to try to take a better one. I'll be making and stitching a lot more patterns based on my husband's illustrations.

Embroidered and Quilted Wall Hanging

I made this about 3 and a half years ago, when I was pregnant with my first baby. I started it as a lap quilt, and then I turned into a wall hanging. I quilted the squares together, then I embroidered my designs and embellished with buttons, then I added padding and a back, and then I quilted the whole thing and added an edge. It's kind of lying at an odd angle, but in real life it's a rectangle. :)

Butterfly handkerchief

I made this handkerchief several years ago, then put it away and forgot all about it. It's two layers of a pretty star fabric sewn together inside out, with a butterfly embroidered in the corner. In the picture it is folded into a fourth.

Pichus Love the Springtime

I wanted to stitch two happy Pichus, playing in the spring. The actual Pichu patterns are Makibird-stitching: [link] and [link] I actually flipped the second Pichu around so that they were facing each other. The rest of the pattern I made up.

Finn and Jake as Luke and Professor Layton- crossover

The current challenge at spritestitch.com is an "Exquisite Corpse." Someone gives you a clue, and you stitch whichever game you think it is or could be. (You're free to go any direction that you want to.)
My clue was: "A fine gentleman and his young companion solve puzzles and mysteries together." It made me think of two different things, so I went with a crossover, and here you go!
I think Finn and Jake look adorable as Professor Layton and Luke!

"Little Pea Family on a Fancy Carpet" embroidery

I based this embroidery on the book by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, but I modified it for my family and I embellished it with the "fancy carpet" and the framed pea pod. The fringe on the carpet is turkey work.
I hope you like it! :D
